The new year is coming and soon we will be moving in our first residents in to Tower One. These are exciting times as we see the Tower coming to completion and we know everyone is anxious to see these beautiful homes.

These last few weeks we have hosted a series of move-in events and we have had a great response from our buyers. Moving so many people into the towers at once is a large undertaking. We appreciate so many people attended these events to see just how these last few months are going to play out. Everyone had a chance to be introduced to our partners at Allure restaurant, SUHRCO, TeamBuilder John L. Scott, and Wasatch Home Mortgage. We also announced two new retail partners Shnoo Yogurt and Bellevue Cleaners.

Washington Square was designed and actually site tested to meet the highest sound rating in residential construction. Fewer than 60% of today’s condominiums can say this. To achieve this “luxury” rating we focused on every element of the structure that can transfer sound. Demising walls, plumbing and mechanical elements, flooring, acoustic sealant, and heating/ cooling equipment have all been improved to meet the highest federal standards.

Something new is happening almost everyday at Washington Square and the Superblock. We will keep you informed of the progress.

This month has been surprisingly busy for what the Real Estate industry deems the “Slow Season.” We are still seeing good traffic and sales are happening. A little over a week ago the Seattle Times ran a front-page article, which discussed what we are seeing…the Condominium market is a “bright spot.” Click here to read the article

With 1.6 million square feet of office space just recently being leased in the downtown Bellevue area to the likes of Microsoft, Expedia, and Yahoo conditions could only improve. Demand is going to go way up and there just is not a whole lot of supply for housing. Just think what this will do for home values.

With a condominium community such as Washington Square it is important to use a lender who is experienced closing these types of homes. These are complex loans and having an understanding of the process is crucial. Unfortunately, most errors come to light right at the worst time...with in days of closing. I urge to you to speak with the preferred lenders at any community in which you purchase even if you plan to use another lender. They understand the challenges, have already approved the community, and know the right questions to ask your lender to ensure you close on time with the least amount of hassle.
