Bill on Marketing
There are signs of life. Well located, well priced properties are drawing traffic and selling. The Danielle in Ballard had a sensational Grand Opening weekend, with the Saturday Times ad helping to pull in 68 groups! The project has 12 of 30 sold and is doing great. So how’s that for a Zestimate?
On a totally different front, thanks to Deb Champion and the team from Harris Bank who hosted a gala Picasso private party at the Seattle Art Museum last night. 400+ people had a good time, and the exhibit is first rate. Kudos to Harris for supporting the arts. The exhibit shows until January 17th, 2011. Personally, I really enjoyed viewing the early days of the Picasso oeuvre, which had many of the elements that made him to distinctive.

Sarah ‘Krebsy’ Adams Looks at Home Values
Dr. Stan Humphries, who created the Zestimate for Zillow.com, was the featured presenter at the 15th Annual John L. Scott Builder Breakfast last Friday. His factual, and somewhat sobering, conclusions were that we have not reached the bottom yet (probably sometime in 2011), and that recovery in home values are apt to take from three – five years. As the chart shows, the Seattle Metro market (three counties) were slower to fall than the rest of the country, but fall they did. A very worthwhile presentation.
