La’Cee Talks Vision
This chart is part of a course I recently took from the American Management Association. It suggests that a new model of management is for fewer people with more tasks, jobs and control. Big, fixed overhead is either out, or greatly reduced! Notice that overly tight controls (“Order”) means the end of company, as does loose controls (“Chaos”). The right mix is labeled General Control, or Edge of Chaos. Lean and mean, that ‘s how we are all surviving these days.
