Bill Looks at how Income Relates to Buying

The National Association of Realtors just published an interesting survey on motivations to buy, looking at people who earn more than $175,000 annually, and those who earn less than $175,000.  The primary motivation among buyers with less than the $175K annual income is just to own a home. A significant motivation for buyers above $175K is the desire for a larger home or a job-related relocation. Interestingly enough, the study shows that the areas for both groups remain about the same, and over half of each group purchase in a suburb/subdivision. Read more ...

Sarah "Krebsy" Adams on Population

Like many parts of the globe, population in larger cities and areas continues to increase.  The only drop in the top 15, according to the new census, is Detroit, a place beset by big problems.  From increased population, of course, comes new housing opportunities.
